Speaker Bio: Gena Behrens
Gena Behrens serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Fresno Chamber of Commerce, where she leads strategic operations to support business growth, workforce development, and community engagement across the Central Valley. With more than 18 years of experience in fund development, administrative leadership, and community partnership building, she is deeply committed to creating advocacy, education, and networking opportunities that strengthen Fresno’s economic and cultural vitality.
In addition to her role with the Chamber, Gena is President of the Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame, where she has guided the organization’s transformation from an all-volunteer board to a professionally operated institution that celebrates local athletic achievement and inspires youth through sport. A former student-athlete, Gena attended California State University, Fresno on a softball scholarship, earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology, and holds a master’s degree in sports administration. Her career reflects a passion for community engagement, athletics, and inclusive leadership, making her a respected voice in business, sport, and civic circles.
