Ms. Her’s remarkable journey from a refugee camp in Thailand to a leader in economic development and equity will leave you motivated to persevere and create lasting impact in your community.

Lunch Menu:
Lunch will be catered by Chef T and includes Ceasar Salad, Roasted chicken
Topped with creamy lemon sauce, Three cheese Mac with high-end cheese sauce and parmesan panko buttered crumbs, Crack green beans that are sweet and savory with crispy bacon smothered in brown sugar soy sauce. Served with dessert and iced tea or water.

Speaker Bio:
May Gnia Her, Executive Director of Stone Soup Fresno, a social services nonprofit serving Fresno County families for more than 33 years with programs in early education, economic development, cultural preservation, job skills, dual-language after school education, inclusive cultural learning, and basic needs. Stone Soup Fresno’s mission is to, “Inspire children and nurture families to reach their full potential.”
Ms. Her was born in the Ban Vinai refugee camp in Thailand. Ms. Her and her family arrived to America in April 1980 and moved to Fresno in 1982. Raised by a single mother in West Fresno. Ms. Her learned very early that greatness begins with never giving up. Ms. Her is a graduate of Edison High School, attended Fresno City College and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management, from the University of Phoenix in Fresno, California.
With over 27 years working in economic development, business management, small business, and nonprofit leadership. Ms. Her is a sought-after strategist for community equity and program feasibility. Ms. Her is an alumni member of the Leadership California 2014, a member of the 40 Under 40, Class of 2015, and an 11 years Rotarian with North Fresno Rotary.
In her spare time, Ms. Her enjoys photography. One of her favorite things to do is to give free high school Senior portraits to high school seniors who otherwise would not have senior photos to remember their senior year of high school. In the past 15 years, Ms. Her has photographed more than 83 high school seniors.
