SPEAKER BIO:
Her journey into the world of forensics began uniquely, as she spent her early years helping at her father’s funeral homes, where her summer jobs involved a variety of tasks. It was during this time that, she found herself drawn to the work of coroners and the fascinating stories they shared, never imagining that one day she would be the one conducting those investigations.
Sarah recently retired in September after sustaining an on-the-job injury, closing a remarkable chapter of her career. Her experience gives her a wealth of stories and insights into the world of death investigations and the intricate relationships between various emergency and medical services.
Beyond her professional life, Sarah is a devoted wife and mother to four sons. With both parents in law enforcement, her children had to be particularly clever to avoid their parents’ keen sense of observation. Despite their best efforts, the saying "you can’t get away with anything" often rang true.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fresno State and a Master’s in Forensic Science from National University.
