Please join us at Clovis Community College Herndon Campus - Clovis, California for our November Luncheon Meeting with guest speaker Dora Westerlund with her presentation titled "Driven by Passion to take Action".

Menu:

Italian Chopped Salad or Sesame Noodle Salad with Chicken served with rolls.

Dessert: Assorted bars (lemon, carmelitas, raspberry coconut, and peanut butter chocolate.

Iced tea and water.

SPEAKER BIO:

Dora Westerlund is the President & CEO of the Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation (FAHF), since 2004. As the FAHF’s CEO, Dora has led the organization to become a highly visible entity in the non-profit sector by changing the lives of thousands of Hispanic and non-Hispanic owned businesses to become economically self-sufficient. In 2009, Dora secured an investment for $1.7 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration, to established the Downtown Business Hub; the first bilingual business incubator in the Western United States that opened doors in June 2011. Under Dora’s leadership the FAHF became a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) in early 2021. This newly CDFI will play a vital role in historically underserved communities by increasing access to funds and resources for businesses and individuals. Dora’s leadership skills have received much notoriety from many sectors and received numerous awards and recognitions; 2016 Top Dog, 2017 James Irvine Foundation Leadership Award, 2018 Cal Wellness Sabbatical Award to mention a few. In May 2018, Dora successfully completed the elite Women’s Leadership Forum at Harvard Business School and attended California State University, Fresno as an International Student where she currently serves on the Foundation Board of Governors at California State University, Fresno, in addition to serving as a Board of Director at Saint Agnes Hospital. Dora lives in Fresno with the best part of her life, Larry who is a very supportive husband, Zoe 12 and William 9, two wonderful children that are God’s blessings to her family.

Clovis Community College will be requiring proof of vaccination and photo ID for vaccinated individuals or a negative Covid test for unvaccinated individuals. Test must be taken within 72 hours of the event. A table will be set up in front of the entrance and visitors will be asked to show their vaccine card and ID photo prior to entering the meeting. 

Thank you for your understanding to follow COVID-19 safety guidelines at Clovis Community College where we will be meeting for our luncheons.
The college is
adhering to the California Department of Public Health and Center for Disease Control recommendations and requires facial coverings while indoors at all Clovis Community College buildings for those that are vaccinated and not vaccinated. While eating during our luncheons, it is ok to remove face coverings.
